About LéaFrance™

Hi, My name is Carine Soriano of Fremont, California, USA. That sad lady in the middle — that’s me!

Perhaps you expected my first name to be Léa. Well, Léa is meaningful to me and that’s why I chose this name for my business. Learn more about the origin of the name.

Now that you know my name, you might wonder: Who is Carine?

Well, first I can say I'm a passionate woman who loves to teach. I think people are born to learn, and when I see the happy faces of my students at the end of a project, it’s the best reward I can imagine.

I began my French Picture Framing obsession after attending a class in Paris in 2000. I was immediately hooked on this innovative technique. In July 2003, I moved to Canada with my husband and my daughter. I was truly amazed that I did not find the matting techniques used in France. After looking everywhere, I had to face the fact that French Picture Framing just doesn't exist in Canada. That's how I started teaching those French Framing techniques to Canadians. In 2007, I returned to France for a few months, and at that time, learned French Photo Collage.

I then moved again, this time to California. In the weeks following, I decided to create a business out of my passion for French Picture Framing and French Photo Collage. Since then, I’ve been teaching around the Bay Area and enjoy sharing my expertise about French Picture Framing and French Photo Collage.

Since starting my business, I have met many interesting people and organized a showcase for my students at the Fremont Art Association. That was a big event for me, and I was so proud they could have a place to showcase their art.

So, this is my happy life and hope you will become a part of it by making great frames or scrap pages with me.

As long as the class makes you happy, I’m happy.

Our Values

Léa France believes in supporting our national economy, therefore all of our products are manufactured in USA.

Also, each time we have a chance to work with small local businesses, we do so. It’s important to us to work with persons that support the same business and personal values and help our local community to grow and prosper.
